HHS senior Austin Schock battles for rebounding position Friday night against Willow Springs.

Junior Lucas Kelley scored 13 points to lead the Houston Tigers in a 62-36 loss Friday to Willow Springs inside Hiett Gymnasium.

Keegan Spurlin added seven points and Nathan Poynter scored six for HHS, which only trailed by three after the first quarter before the Bears outscored them 22-6 in the second.

Bryce Duddridge hit five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 19 points for Willow Springs. He scored 12 points – all triples – in the second quarter.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Trevor Motzkus scored 14 points and Riley Cavaness had 10 in the JV Tigers’ 48-39 loss Friday to Willow Springs.

Houston led 16-8 after the opening quarter and by as many as 10 points in the first half but couldn’t hang onto the advantage.
