Laura Joann Evans, 76, of Houston, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 24, 1939, in Licking, son of George and Oma Stogsdill Saylor. She and Clyde Mack Evans were married Nov. 9, 1968.
She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist in Houston until her health began to fail.
She worked in civil service at Ft. Leonard Wood for more than 32 years. She retired in 1995.
She loved to crochet and make tea towels for her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clyde Evans.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Saylor of Hannibal and Randy Evans of Houston; five grandchildren; a brother, Bill Saylor of Eldorado, Ark.; a sister, Wilma Wade of Lynchburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were Friday, Feb. 26, at Evans Funeral Home with Danny Delcour officiating. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
