Houston police handled several investigations during the last year. 

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Kerri L. Von Holten, 28, of 12597 Mills Road in Cabool, was ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign and no insurance after an officer observed a silver Chevrolet Colorado turn from East Highway 17 onto South Sam Houston Blvd. without stopping at about 5:15 p.m. Feb. 5.

•Shadrach J. Ferguson, 35, of 112 Junction St. in Raymondville, was issued a citation for displaying plates of another after a traffic stop at U.S. 63 and Thomasville Road at about 12:35 a.m. Feb. 6.

•Jackson C.  Morgan, 39, of 15580 Piney Drive in Bucyrus, was issued a citation for public peace disturbance after he was allegedly involved in a fight at Chestnut and Phelps streets at about 9 a.m. Jan. 12.

•A 27-year-old man reported at about 3 a.m. Jan. 24 that $400 had been swiped from his wallet while he was at the Office Bar on Grand Avenue.

•David K. Hogue, 33, of 8900 Highway E in Houston, was cited for driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with an inoperable turn lamp after a traffic stop at Industrial Drive and Highway 17 at about 8:40 p.m. Jan. 29.

•Jessica Duncan, 23, and Jessica Powers, 19, both of West Plains, were each issued citations for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting numerous items from Walmart on Jan. 21.

•Joshua P. Vaughan, 26, of 13755 Highway 32 in Success, was cited for stealing under $500 after allegedly swiping several Star Wars toys from Walmart on Jan. 16.
