Thelma Machin passed away Feb. 21, 2016. She was born in Newton, Iowa, on Dec. 19, 1916, to Ruth Hildebrand and Jacob Arndt. She was a graduate of Newton, Iowa, High School.

On Dec. 8, 1950, she was united in marriage to Victor Machin. Thelma enjoyed selling Avon, reading, gardening and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; son; Robert Sabin; and sister, Velma Messick. She is survived by her two daughters, Bev (Larry) Nance of Des Moines, Iowa, and Vickie (Larry) Sillyman of Houston, Mo.; her sister, Elizabeth Lee of Braymer, Mo.; and daughter-n-law, Barbara Sabin of Sedalia, Mo. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Evans Funeral Home with a Memorial services beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Mrs. Machin has been cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be sent to Texas Co. Animal Shelter, Texas Co. Food Pantry or Texas Co. Public Library.
