Veta Huff, 97, of Cabool, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, in Houston.
She was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Stahl, Mo., daughter of Alfie and Iva T. Wheeler Billington. She and Howard Huff were married Nov. 6, 1936.
She was a seamstress for civil service. She was a member of Roby Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; and a sister, Agnes Sterner.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Huff and his wife, Deb, of Success, Mo., and James Lee Huff of Winter Springs, Fla.; six daughters, Lila Chambers of Big Piney, Mo., Pat White of Houston, Mo., Julie May and Betty Rogers and husband, Mike, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mary Roberts of Osage Beach, Mo., and Lanette Jensen and husband, Greg, of Camdenton, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services were 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Roby Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Wolford officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
