Authorities are investigating the death of a three-month-old baby that Texas County Coroner Tom Whitaker said “does not appear to be suspicious at this time.”
Whitaker said he and county authorities responded at 3 p.m. last Wednesday to Texas County Memorial Hospital after receiving reports of the death. The baby, Aylana Grace King, had passed away at a Bado Road residence in Cabool.
The baby’s parents were interviewed by a detective with the Texas County Sheriff’s Department and investigator representing the Division of Drug and Crime Control of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The parents also gave consent for a search of the home.
Whitaker said an autopsy was scheduled to be performed Friday on the baby.
