A 12-year-old student was suspended from the Houston School District after he threatened to shoot classmates on campus.
The Houston Police Department said the boy, a middle school student, said he would shoot multiple girls at the school and bring an AK47 to campus to shoot everyone. The threats were made after the boy pushed a girl down.
Authorities said during questioning, the boy admitted he didn’t mean what he said. He said he was mad.
A deputy from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department searched the residence of the boy. No guns were found. The boy’s father told police the boy would receive treatment at an area hospital.
School officials involved in the investigation suspended the boy 10 days. A report was sent to the county juvenile office.
