Texas County’s unemployment rate in March was 6.5 percent, the Missouri Department of Economic Development said.
In the south-central region, the average was 6.6 percent.
The county’s civilian labor force was 9,556 with 620 unemployed.
Area counties and their unemployment rates were: Douglas, 6.6; Howell, 7; Shannon, 8.6; and Wright, 5.7.
