The Houston tennis team made quick and easy work of Richland.
HHS cruised last Thursday to a 9-0 blanking on its homecourt.
The Tigers rolled in singles play with five decisive victories. Grady Todd shut out his opponent 8-0 and Lucas Kelley and Yuka Katogi won 8-1. Trent Smith was an 8-2 winner and Sarah Kelley was victorious 8-3.
The only close call was No. 5 singles as Celina Castleman won 8-6.
Doubles play was even more lopsided as Houston won all of its matches 6-1. The teams of Lucas and Sarah Kelley, Katogi and Marley Stoops as well as Castleman and Smith cruised to wins.
Last Tuesday, Houston beat Liberty 7-2 on the road.
Todd, Katago and Sarah Kelley were all 8-1 winners. Lucas Kelley was victorious 8-6 and Smith won 9-8 (1).
