Texas County-Howell County Healthy Schools Healthy Communities (HSHC) and West Plains-based Ozark Independent Living (OIL) have partnered to provide several raised beds at the Houston Community Garden.
The cedar units were made by Reese Wood Products of Cabool, and were delivered March 24 to local University of Missouri Extension master gardeners Verlin and Doris Altom (who oversee the garden).
“It was such a pleasure to partner with Terry Hampton of OIL,” said HSHC communities coordinator Earlene Stoops. “We wants to thank them for being a very big part of making this happen.”
HSHC is an healthy living initiative funded by Missouri Foundation for Health.
