A 19-year-old woman from Licking was seriously injured early Sunday after her vehicle struck a deer near Hartshorn, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Brieanna N. Briggs was driving a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Sonic on Highway K that struck a deer and ran off the roadway, said Sgt. George Falterman. Briggs was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
It couldn’t be determined if Briggs was wearing a seat belt, Falterman said. The vehicle was totaled.
