Sales tax revenue decreased during the latest monthly distribution in Texas County, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.

Sales tax collections in Texas County were down in the latest monthly distribution, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.

Revenue from three half-cent sales taxes was down about 2.8 percent each from the same month a year ago. The tally from each sales tax was about $62,268.

In the first quarter of 2016, the total is about $333,750 each, which is up 2.4 percent from last year.

Revenue from a three-eighths sales tax for the county’s 911 system was $46,621, which was down $1,366 from a year ago. For the year, $247,608 has been collected. That’s up about $6,027 from last year.
