Rural Fire Chief Don Gaston sprays water at a home at 703 Chestnut as black smoke fills the air around home Wednesday afternoon.

Multiple fire departments responded at noon Wednesday to an engulfed house fire at 703 Chestnut Street in Houston. 

Smoke and fire were seen rolling out of the top level of the home when City of Houston firefighters arrived. The city’s electrical department disconnected utilities.
