The Texas County Library system will hold its summer reading program.
Molly Shelton, library director, said they are planned:
•July 1-30 at Houston.
•July 1-29 at Summersville.
•July 1-29 at Licking
•June 28 – July 26 at Cabool.
The program consists of three levels of reading and activities. When a child completes a level, they receive a prize. To complete each level, ages 3-8 must read five hours and complete five activities. Those ages 9-12 must read eight hours and complete eight activities, Shelton said. Each child must attend three activities at the library they are registered. Children can attend whether they are enrolled in the summer reading program, she said.
