The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the inaugural “Piney River Days” through Saturday, in downtown Houston.
The event features entertainment in the Lone Star Plaza (between Grand Avenue and First Street) from 6 to 9 p.m. each day.
The entertainment included the Christian band, “One,” on Thursday, the Riders on a Mission (R.O.A.M.) motorcycle stunt riders and ministry group and rock music from Cabool’s KZ88 radio station and D.J. Mark (with “Trance on the Porch”) on Friday.
This evening’s entertainment includes Garold McCoy and the South 63 Band on Saturday.
Vendors will be on hand, and a carnival with rides is set up in the Hiett Gymnasium parking lot.
A car show will be set up in front of Dooley’s Sports Grill on Steffens Street beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.
