Texas County’s unemployment rate jumped 1.2 percentage points in June from the previous month, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The rate was 6.7 percent.
In south-central Missouri region, the average was 6.7 percent.
The county’s civilian work force was 9,745 with 652 unemployed.
Area counties and their unemployment rate were: Douglas, 6.5; Howell, 7; Shannon, 7.2; and Wright, 6.3.
