The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors has hired a new executive director.
Houston native Angie Miller-Quinlan will assume the position on Aug. 15.
A Houston High School graduate, she has been completing course work at Drury University, working on a psychology, sociology and criminology degree.
“We’re happy to have her on board,” said Gayla Bratton, chamber president.
The new director will work 30 hours weekly. She replaces Brenda Jarrett, who resigned her post last month.
Persons had until July 21 to apply for the position.
Miller-Quinlan is the daughter of Don and Pat Miller of Yukon. For many years, the family has organized the Share Your Christmas campaign, which benefits needy children in the county.
