The Houston High School softball team is hosting a six-team tournament Saturday.
The Lady Tigers (1-0) will have both varsity and junior varsity teams participating. Other schools are Mansfield, Bakersfield, Salem and Seymour.
Games begin at 9 a.m. on both Carter and Chamber fields. The tournament is divided into two pools with the HHS varsity, Mansfield and Bakersfield comprising the A pool and Salem, Seymour and the HHS JV in the B pool.

9 a.m. – HHS varsity vs. Mansfield (Carter Field)
9 a.m. – Salem vs. Seymour (Chamber Field)
11 a.m. – HHS JV vs. Salem (Carter Field)
11 a.m. – Mansfield vs. Bakersfield (Chamber Field)
1 p.m. – Houston vs. Bakersfield (Carter Field)
1 p.m. Houston JV vs Salem (Chamber Field)
3 p.m. – Second place in each pool (Carter Field)
3 p.m. – Third place in each pool (Chamber Field)
5 p.m. – Championship (Carter Field)
Games will have a 90-minute time limit or full seven innings. No new inning will begin after 1 hour, 20 minutes. Run rules – 15 after three innings, 12 after four and 10 after five – will be in effect.
The order of finish in pool play will be determined by overall record and then head-to-head, runs allowed, runs scored and run differential.
