The dedication ceremony for the 10-foot by 15-foot American flag to be hung from the huge pole recently installed outside the Houston Rural Fire Department station on Walnut Street in downtown Houston had been rescheduled to Thursday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m.

Houston Rural Chief Don Gaston said several military veterans, politicians and other dignitaries will be in attendance, and the public is welcome.

The event was originally scheduled for Sept 14, as was indicated in this week’s Houston Herald.
