A portion of a Texas County highway will be closed next week.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said Highway K from Akers Ferry at the Current River in Shannon County to Highway KK in Hartshorn will be closed as crews perform pavement overlay. Work is set to begin Monday and conclude Sept. 1.
The highway will be open to thru traffic only and nightly. Work is from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
