The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Curtis D. Patterson, 76, of 808 Cherry Street in Cabool, was cited for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Sept. 9.
An officer issued the citation after Patterson allegedly drive away after an accident at about 1 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot. Witnesses and store surveillance video provided information about Patterson’s vehicle, and he was contacted by Cabool police before being cited.
•Genevieve A. Spier, 56, of 211 S. Grand Ave., No. 110, in Houston, was issued a citation for allowing dogs to run at large on Sept. 15.
•Scott T. Higgins, 31, of 228 Cedar St., Apt. 18, in Licking, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and speeding after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 2:20 a.m. Sept. 11.
An officer made the stop after observing a Maroon Toyota Tacoma traveling at a high rate of speed near First Street and U.S. 63. After contact was made with the driver, alcohol was smelled and field sobriety tests were conducted.
Higgins was taken to the Texas County Jail.
•Robert E. Lewis, 27, of 206 Green Street in Licking, was arrested Aug. 27 for having an active Pulaski County felony warrant for first-degree burglary. An officer made the arrest at about 7:50 p.m. after Lewis came to the police station indicating he was homeless and needed a place to stay.
A routine computer check revealed the warrant. Lewis was taken to the Texas County Jail.
•A 52-year-old Houston woman reported on Sept. 6 that a purse containing $85 cash, an EBT card and other items had been stolen from her Thomasville Road residence. There are no suspects.
•Steven R. Parker, 31, of 10855 W. Highway 32 in Licking, was cited for stealing under $500 and first-degree trespassing after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Sept. 7. Parker had been banned from all Walmart properties after a shoplifting incident in April.
•Samantha J. Flieger, 22, of 110 N. Friend St. in Licking, was arrested Sept. 7 for having an active Houston municipal warrant for stealing under $500. An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest after observing Flieger standing next to a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.
She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she posted $500 bond and was released.
