The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A Cabool woman reported a prowler at her Parker Avenue residence at about 9 a.m. Oct. 17.
An investigating deputy found no evidence of anyone being there but her. The woman told the officer she thought her home’s water was being tampered with. The officer advised her to have the water tested and pass on the results to authorities.
•A 51-year-old Licking man reported on Oct. 16 that a Stihl MS271 chainsaw valued at $420 had been swiped from his pickup during the previous night. There are no suspects.
•A 44-year-old Bucyrus man reported on Oct. 3 that several tools, an extension cord and two trailer tires had been stolen from his German Road residence.
The man submitted game camera photos that showed a man and woman at the property, and showed the man entering the home and removing items.
The woman was identified as an inmate in the Wright County Jail. A deputy traveled there to speak to her, and she provided the name of the man who was shown in the photos. Upon further investigation, the deputy determined the suspect had been killed in an ATV accident on Sept. 30.
