Martha “Delynn” (Richards) Jones was born in Imboden, Ark., on Feb. 29, 1952. She passed from this life, to the next, on Oct. 23, 2016 at Kabul Nursing Home, in Cabool, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and best friend, Everett Jones of Solo, Mo., and an infant daughter, Kristie Lynn Jones. She is survived by five children: Michael (Patty), Shane (Rita), Mandy (Greg), Clinton (Jamie) and Tray (Amanda); 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; plus, a host of family and friends who loved her very much.

The cedar casket was built with lots of love from sons and family. The funeral and burial were performed the day of her passing, on Sunday, at New Hope Baptist Church in Solo, Mo., and was conducted by her children with oldest son, Michael, preaching the message and Shane, Tray, Clinton, and Michael as pallbearers.

Flower arrangements and decorating were beautifully done by her daughter, Mandy, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren and other family. Kristie Lynn’s baby quilt was provided by Clinton and buried with Mother, at her request.

Three hymns were sang, which were Delynn’s favorite: The Solid Rock, Wonderful Words of Life, and Amazing Grace. The Scriptures read were from 1 Thess 4:13-18, John 14: 1-14 and Jer. 6:16. Closing prayer was by Tray, her youngest son.

Delynn will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thanks to Kabul Nursing Home for the excellent care our Mother received and to Barry Glover, our “uncle” and long-time friend for digging of the grave (you are the best.)

Thank you to the congregation at New Hope for allowing the use of your facility, and to the many friends who turned out on such short notice (the little church house was packed.) It was a wonderful blessing to bury our Mother the old time way among some of the most real people on earth — the Ozark Hill people.

Thank you all, from: Michael, Shane, Mandy, Clinton and Tray.

Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
