Murder suspect Daniel Campbell appears Monday morning inside the Texas County Justice Center. Campbell was arraigned for his actions last Tuesday night that killed one man and critically injured another.

Murder suspect Daniel Campbell will be held without bond following his appearance Monday morning in court.

Campbell was arraigned by Judge Douglas Gaston for his alleged actions last Tuesday that killed one man and critically injured another. Texas County Prosecutor Parke Stevens told the court that he expected additional charges as well.

Campbell was arrested late Friday afternoon without incident around 5 p.m. Friday inside inside Faith and Hope Church. The church is just off Highway 32 between Success and Licking.

Campbell, 39, allegedly killed one man and critically injured another Tuesday night in a shooting on Boiling Springs Road southwest of Licking. Billy Dale Bishop II, 38, died at the scene while William T. Dumboski, 55, was airlifted to a hospital.

Campbell, who witnesses said appeared out of the dark with guns in both hands and made “several unusual remarks,” apparently fled from the scene in a stolen Ford Ranger that belonged to Bishop. The 1997 Ford Ranger was spotted Thursday afternoon near Paddy Creek Road by a Missouri State Highway Patrol helicopter.

Authorities ramped up their search efforts Friday morning after arresting Robert Lane for assisting Campbell. A convoy of vehicles from the sheriff’s department and three ATVs were part of a search party that departed from the justice center shortly after 10 a.m.
