Pet of the week

Marley is a very handsome boy. He is a yellow lab mix and about 5-6 months old. He gets along great with other dogs, and is sweet as can be! He’s very smart and will be easy to train.

What’s keeping him from being adopted right away? Marley is a special needs dog. He has Megaesophagus, a condition which if untreated makes it impossible for Marley to keep his food down… however, if he takes his pill ($16 a week) before his meals, eats off of an elevated platform, and is fed a high quality puree-style canned food until he gains a bit more weight, then regular canned dog food puree, not chunky, he will gets along just fine! Our vet says it’s possible that he may outgrow his condition completely.

Marley is looking for a forever home that will be very caring and considerate of his needs, so he will continue to thrive. Someone who can take a small amount of time out of their day up to feed him the way he needs to be fed. Someone who will take him to a vet for regular check-ups to see how his condition may be improved. Someone with a heart of gold!

If you are that someone, please contact TASTC. Marley will forever be grateful!
