TASTC pet of the week

Me next. Me, please. Ok, I’ll go hide now.

I’m Tux… I was brought to TASTC over 6 months ago! The reason I’ve been here so long is, that I’m very shy! Often, when people come in they don’t see me because I hide. When they do see me, I lay my ears back and put my head down… It makes me look mean… But really, I’m just scared. I’ve come a long way since I first arrived. I used to try to run when people came close, but now I actually enjoy being petted! I’ve waited here long enough… It’s time for me to get adopted! If you have been wanting to adopt a cat, I have been here the longest… And I need to be adopted next!

I only need some TLC every day. I am so shy that I will not even defend myself. I am totally submissive. Maybe in your home I will finally be able to break out of my shell and not be as shy. I am neutered and have all my shots.

Will you be that someone I can love?

The adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $45 for cats. Visit The Animal Shelter of Texas County at 6931 East Hwy. 17 in Houston. Hours are 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and by appointment Sunday. You can also email texascountyanimals@hotmail.com or visit the shelter’s Facebook page.
