McCloud, a senior center fielder, led Houston with 23 runs scored and tied for the team lead with 15 steals. She ranked second on the team with a .421 batting average and 24 RBIs.

TAYLOR CHIPPS
Chipps, a junior second baseman, had a team-high four home runs and was second on the team with 20 runs scored. She batted .338 with 15 RBIs.

CHANCE HUNTER
Hunter, a senior running back, led HHS in rushing and scoring in 2016. He carried the ball 152 for 837 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had two kickoff returns for scores.

CONNOR CLIFTON
Clifton, a senior, led the Tigers’ defense with 96 tackles — 67 solo and 29 assists. He had five tackles for losses, one sack and returned a fumble for a touchdown.

James, a junior, was Houston’s lone lineman named to the all-conference team. His selection was on the offensive line.

Hayes, a senior, had 102 kills – 3.52 per match – and 61 blocks her senior season to earn second team recognition. Both led the Lady Tigers.

Root, a junior first baseman and shortstop, hit .335 with 15 runs scored, 14 RBIs and eight steals.

Lawson, a junior outfielder, batted .327 with 16 RBIs, 13 runs scored and eight stolen bases.

Roberts, a sophomore pitcher, got the winning decision on all eight of Houston’s victories in 2016.

Clayton, a junior fullback, carried the ball four times for 12 yards and had six catches for 57 yards and a touchdown. He had a pair of two-point conversion catches.

Hurst, a junior linebacker, ranked third on the team with 73 total tackles, including seven tackles for losses. He tied for the team lead with two fumble recoveries.
