Texas County Dutch Oven Cookers member Bob Roach adds meat to a pot of stew during a Veterans Day event Friday hosted by the Houston Rural Fire Department at its ire station on Walnut Street in downtown Houston. Roach and his cohorts Jim Eckley and Jim Kidwell served several dishes to attendees for free, including three kinds of stew, chili, cornbread and many dessert choices (all cooked inside Dutch ovens).
