Plans for Houston’s annual Christmas parade were announced this week.

The event is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. This year’s parade grand marshals are Mayor Don and Ann Tottingham. Lineup is at the high school parking lot at 1 p.m. The theme is “Christmas Stories.”

Entries in the religious and non-religious categories are being accepted. Persons can call the chamber office at 417-967-2220. Entry forms also are available at the Houston Visitors Center.

The previous evening, a 6 p.m. tree lighting ceremony is at the Houston Community Building on North U.S. 63. A party with Santa and Mrs. Claus also is planned.
