A Christmas drive to aid children in Texas County begins Monday.

The annual holiday campaign that aids needy Texas County children begins today (Nov. 14).

“Share Your Christmas” involves numerous organizations, businesses and individuals joining to help those less fortunate. This year’s headquarters is in the basement of the Houston Lions Club den on North U.S. 63. Hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications are taken there.

An Angel Tree will be on display after Thanksgiving at Houston Walmart Supercenter. It will list cases that persons can adopt.

They also will be outlined beginning Nov. 24 in the Houston Herald, which started the drive 32 years ago to help those in the county who need assistance during the Christmas season. Volunteer Pat Miller is the coordinator. Persons needing information can call 417-217-1318 or 417-217-6595.

Monetary donations can be mailed to “Share Your Christmas,” P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483, or they can be dropped by the Houston Herald on Grand Avenue in Houston.
