The pet of the week from The Animal Shelter of Texas County.

My name is Roxanne and I am a proud of being taught by Puppies for Parole at South Central Correctional Center. I am learning more about what it’s like to be a REAL DOG (you know, the kind that gets to learn, and run, and play). I have learned obedience, basic commands, and I am crate trained.

I am very energetic and outgoing. I play well with other dogs when properly introduced. I would LOVE to finally have a home of my own, and a family who loves me! I’m ready to break free, and be in a comfy home! I am a medium sized, terrier-mix, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed. All I need is your love.

I lived at another shelter from the time I was a baby (only 8 weeks old)… to the time I was almost 10 months old. They knew it was time to try something different, so I was transferred to TASTC. Once at TASTC, I was enrolled in Puppies for Parole at South If you would like to adopt me, please contact TASTC! I am currently in Licking at SCCC, so you will need to make an appointment where you can see my training in action and see how we get along!

The adoption fee is $125 for dogs and $45 for cats. Visit The Animal Shelter of Texas County at 6931 East Hwy. 17 in Houston. Hours are 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and by appointment Sunday. You can also email texascountyanimals@hotmail.com or visit the shelter’s Facebook page.
