Missouri’s first of two youth firearms deer hunting seasons occurred last weekend (Oct. 29-30).

Texas County ranked seventh in the state with 180 killed, including 111 antlered bucks, 18 button bucks and 51 does.

Top counties in the state were Osage with 249, Howell at 244, Franklin at 241, Ripley with 223, Oregon with 190 and Wayne at 187.

The next youth season runs Nov. 25-27.
