A City of Houston firefighter sprays a Ford Bronco being consumed by lames last Thursday afternoon on U.S. 63 in front of Walmart.

The City of Houston Fire Department responded at 4:30 p.m. last Thursday to a vehicle fully engulfed by flames on U.S. 63 in Houston near the Walmart parking lot.

On Friday, the Houston Rural Fire Department responded at 6:30 p.m. to a report of a grain silo burning near Highways DD and 17 east of Houston.

The following morning, the rural fire department was called at 9:30 a.m. to Doss and Harper Quarry east of Houston on Highway 17, where a loader was reported on fire.

Early Sunday morning, three area fire departments responded to a field fire on Edgmond Drive in the Hartshorn area. Summersville was called at 3:40 a.m. and 20 minutes later, Clear Springs and Raymondville were dispatched.
