Retired Missouri State Highway Patrol officer and former Houston police chief Jim McNiell will be the speaker at the 17th annual Veterans Tribute at 1 p.m. next Friday inside Hiett Gymnasium on the Houston School District campus.
A reception will follow in the north lobby.
McNiell’s career in law enforcement lasted close to 40 years, as he served 33 years with the patrol and another five as police chief in Houston. He retired last fall.
Area veterans are invited to attend the tribute and reception held in their honor.
