One person was injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash north of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. Jacob Sellars said a southbound 1992 Toyota Corolla driven by Sarah M. Merriett, 34, of Houston, was stopped to make a left turn and was struck in the rear by a 2007 Chrysler operated by Justin B. Williams, 47, of Houston. The Merriett vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned about two miles north of Houston on U.S. 63.
Merriett refused treatment at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The Corolla was totaled. The Williams vehicle had extensive damage.
Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Travis Brown and Tpr. Curtis Hubbs, along with the Texas County Sheriff’s Department and other emergency personnel.
