A Houston man was arrested Dec. 12 after he was found to be wanted in Illinois.

A wanted man was arrested last week in Houston as part of another investigation. 

Police said Adam T. Reams, 33, of 424 Highway 17 in Houston, was arrested at about 8 p.m. Dec. 12 for having an active St. Clair County, Ill., warrant for endangering the welfare of a child (related to methamphetamine) and active Texas County warrants for stealing under $500 and felony driving while revoked.

An officer investigating another matter at Reams’ apartment made the arrest after observing a couch cushion sitting abnormally high and locating him under it. Reams was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was unable to post total bond of $120,000.

In other matters:

•Anthony D. Long, 35, of 614 N. Second St. in Houston, and Edith A. Wen, 35, of 220 South St. in Houston, were each issued citations for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart together on Dec. 7.
