Three persons were injured Friday night in a crash on slick U.S. 60 that damaged about 50 feet of guardrail near Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Cpl. Curtis Haden said an eastbound 1972 Chevrolet truck driven by Nickolas E. Williams, 24, of Thayer, spun out of control and struck a bridge barrier. An eastbound 2017 Freightliner tractor/trailer driven by Carrie K. Horsley, 57, of Logan, Utah, struck the truck.
Haden said Williams, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield with serious injuries.
Horsley, who had been wearing a seat belt, and Darren R. Horsley, 51, Logan, Utah, who had not been wearing a seat belt, were taken to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains. They had minor injuries.
The truck was totaled. The big rig had extensive damage.
