The Houston Tigers just missed back-to-back victories.
Gainesville edged HHS 43-41 Saturday afternoon in the consolation final of the Mansfield Tournament.
The game was close throughout. The Tigers (2-4) led by two after and first quarter and 20-19 at the half. It was tied at 34-all entering the fourth.
Lucas Kelley scored 14 points and Tayler Ward had 11 for Houston. Michael Clayton added eight points and a team-best five rebounds.
Houston only shot 30 percent on two-point shots but was 4-for-10 from downtown and 11-for-11 at the free-throw line.
