A Licking woman was injured at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday when she was struck on Highway C north of her hometown, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

A pedestrian was struck Thursday night in a hit-and-run accident north of Licking, the Missouri  State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Stacy Crewse said Sabrina D. Edgerton, 24, of Licking, was standing outside a parked vehicle near the centerline of Highway C five miles north of Licking when she was struck, causing her to impact the 2004 Pontiac Bonneville that was operated by Curtis A. Edgerton, 34, of Licking. Crewse said she was struck at about 8:45 p.m. by an unknown Dodge Dakota truck that left the scene.

Sabrina Edgerton was taken by private vehicle to Salem Memorial District Hospital with moderate injuries.
