A longtime former Texas County officeholder has died.
Wilmer Diedrich, who retired in April 1997 as the recorder of deeds and circuit clerk, died Wednesday at Rolla. Mr. Diedrich, 89, began serving in the post after his election in November 1978. Previously, he was a member of the county court.
