A man charged with murdering his Ellis Prairie wife in January 2016 will stand trial in April in Pulaski County.

Steven Sprous, 30, will appear for a pre-trial conference March 27 in advance of the Waynesville trial. His case was moved to Pulaski County after a judge granted a change of venue last year.

He is charged with first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, sodomy, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of an illegal weapon.

Sprous was charged in the death of his 23-year-old wife, Courtney, and firing shots into homes on Highway AA.
