Texas County’s unemployment increased slightly in December, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The figure was 5. 8 percent, up four-tenths of a percentage point from November.
In the south-central Missouri region, the average was 5.8 percent.
Texas County’s civilian work force was 9,293 with 536 unemployed.
