A public hearing is planned at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss proposed rezoning changes to spark growth.
Among those under consideration on West Highway 17:
•Rezoning property along some portions of Highway 17 to spur development when the tracts are ever sold. That includes the south side of the highway from Highway 17 Terrace to the city limits and the north side of the roadway from Dooley Street to the city limits.
The hearing is at Houston City Hall.Â
