A victory at Drury University snapped the Houston Lady Tigers’ losing skid.

Abby Casper scored 14 points and three others added eight apiece as HHS defeated Lockwood 46-42 Saturday afternoon at the O’Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield.

Kaitlyn Root, Jaydin Ramsey and Alyssa Hayes all scored eight points for the Lady Tigers. Casper and Chloe Hunninghake both had two 3-pointers.

Houston (10-11) trailed 13-9 after the opening quarter. The deficit was two at the half before a 14-11 edge in the third quarter gave the Lady Tigers the lead.

The victory was Houston’s first since beating Mountain Grove on Jan. 23 in the opening round of the Lady Lions Invitational.
