Texas County’s unemployment rate inched upward in January, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The figure was 6.1 percent, up three-tenths of a percentage point over December.
In south-central Missouri region, the average was also 6.1 percent.
Texas County’s civilian work force was 9.180 with 563 unemployed.
