Texas County Sheriff’s Department authorities report that a Jayco camper trailer was stolen Tuesday, April 18 from Wehr Ford at Mountain Grove.

The theft marks the second time in April that a late model trailer has been swiped from the dealership’s lot.

According to a release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Rural Crimes Investigative Unit, a white extended cab Ford F-150 (2010 of newer model, possibly with a black grill) towed away a 2017 Jayco Jay Flight SLX camper trailer (gray and white in color) at about 4:30 a.m. April 18.

That incident follows a similar case from April 8, when a two men in a tan or silver Chevrolet extended cab pickup (late ’90s or early 2000s model) towed away a 2016 Jayco trailer with a blue bird decal on its side.

Anyone with information about either crime is encouraged to call the sheriff’s department at 417-967-4165.
