The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy was dispatched at about 5 p.m. April 23 regarding a report of vehicle vandalism at a Rusty Road residence at Houston.
The officer made contact with a 64-year-old woman there who said her soon to be ex-husband had let the air out of her vehicle’s tires. The officer observed that the tires weren’t damaged and that some air had been let out of them.
The officer advised the woman that as long as she and her husband were married, he could let the air out of the vehicle’s tires if he wished and that the matter was civil, not criminal.
The woman stated she didn’t want to fill out a statement and that just wanted to tell someone.
•Deputies were dispatched at about 10:10 p.m. April 20 regarding a report of a domestic dispute at a Sleepy Hollow residence at Houston.
Upon arrival, officers observed a man lying on the ground bleeding from the head, and a man and woman standing next to him. The three explained that the man on the ground had jumped out of a moving car and then tried to fight with the other man, who hit him in the head with a small stick to keep him away.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. The determination was made that the second man was defending himself and no charges were filed.
•A 46-year-old Solo woman reported on April 21 that her daughter’s bicycle valued at $130 had been stolen from their Hawkeye Road residence. There are no suspects.
•A 38-year-old Plato man reported on April 14 that 15 bales of woven field wire and 15 bales of barbed wire with a total value of $4,000 had been swiped from his Baldridge Road property. There are no suspects.
