A water rescue ended at about 11 a.m. Saturday northwest of Houston on the Big Piney River, authorities said.
Several agencies responded at about 9:30 a.m. after a cellular telephone report that water was rising rapidly around three persons, and they were on an island.
Three males were picked up in a boat, authorities reported after most officers staged near Mineral Springs north of Houston. Assisting were the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Department of Conservation, Houston Rural Fire Department and Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
The Missouri Department of Conservation sent an inflatable boat from West Plains.
