The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Ryon G.P. Brown, 29, of 5358 Big Creek Road at Yukon, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on March 31.

•Latisha N. Robertson, 26, of 1245 Dewey St. in Houston, was cited for allowing an animal to run at large on April 7. Robertson was cited after an officer was dispatched to Houston High School regarding a report of two dogs that had twice gotten into the school. Upon arrival, the officer located the dogs on the track in Tiger Stadium with students who had taken them there.

•Derek W. Wilson, 24, of 22598 Midvale Road at Summersville, was cited for illegally parking in a handicapped space on April 7.

•Kevin L. Day, 34, of 8209 Northview Lane, Lot 28, in Houston, was arrested April 10 for having active Texas County felony warrants for driving while revoked and possession of a controlled substance.

Day was arrested after two officers responded at about 1 a.m. to a report of a possible burglary in progress at a Robertson Drive trailer home. Upon arrival, officers saw a woman come out of the trailer and detained her.

The woman stated nobody else was inside, but an officer searching the trailer observed a man hiding behind a cushioned chair. The man was ordered at gunpoint to step toward the officer, and he did so and said, “OK, I’m done.” He turned out to be Day.

Day (who also had an active probation and parole violation warrant) and the woman were both taken to the Texas County Jail, where Day was placed in a cell and the woman was held until she could be interviewed about the burglary case.

•Brenda L. Akins, 49, of 8205 Northview Lane, Lot 4, at Houston, was arrested April 6 for having active Texas County felony warrants for driving while intoxicated (aggravated offender) and driving while revoked, and misdemeanor warrants for traffic violations.

Officers made the arrest at Walmart after being advised Akins was there. She was taken to jail.
