The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A deputy was dispatched May regarding a report of property damage at a Freely Give Road residence at Cabool.
The officer made contact with a man there who said he was moving out of the residence and when he came to get a load of his belongings, he found that all of his stuff was sitting on the ground outside. The officer contacted the landlord’s brother. He stated that the tenant had been evicted in April and had retrieved some of his belongings April 9 and then never returned. The brother removed the items and changed the locks on May 6, believing the former tenant would not return.
The officer advised all parties that the matter was civil.
•An officer responded at about 7:30 p.m. May 7 after a woman reported possible drug paraphernalia at a Highway 137 residence at Licking. The officer observed two one-gallon jugs with dried mold inside them.
•A woman reported on May 6 that a cage with four chickens in it had been left at Highway 17 and Gaston Road. An investigating officer was not able to locate anyone who claimed the chickens, and they were taken away by another officer.
